Mae C. Price

Mrs. Mae Collier Price, age 94, of 332 Dillard Rd., Enoree, widow of James H. Price, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Price was born in the Snow Bird mountains of North Carolina, November 7, 1921, a daughter of the late David and Ora Thompson Collier. She worked all of her life and was very dedicated to causes she believed in. Mrs. Price lived to see six generations of her family grow and was known for her sweet disposition and bright smile. She was first married to the late Albert Lodannite Deputy. Mrs. Price was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by five daughters, Charlene Hollis of Conover, NC, Rita Crump of Morganton, NC, Alice Faye Davis of Union, Trula Rawlings of Richland TX, and Rosemary Price of Enoree; one son, James H. Price, Jr. of Roswell, NM, and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Price was predeceased by four sons, Henry Deputy, Noah Donald Deputy, Larry Wayne Deputy and James Vadis Price and one daughter, Janie Evans. A memorial service will be held by the family at 2:00 PM Monday, September 5, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Rosemary Price, 334 Dillard Rd., Enoree.
