April 30, 2015 Mrs. Mae Heatherly Tucker, age 96 of 1456 Mudbridge Rd., Buffalo, widow of Smith L. Tucker, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Tucker was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tucker was born in Spartanburg SC February 6, 1919, a daughter of the late Squire "Joe" Heatherly and Ada Gregory Heatherly. She was a graduate of West Springs High School and retired from United Merchants-Buffalo Plant. Mrs. Tucker was a member of West Springs Baptist Church where she was a member of the Colene West Senior Ladies Sunday School Class. She dedicated her life to her Lord, Church and family. Mrs. Tucker was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a daughter, Joan T. Quinn and husband Larry of Buffalo; two grandchildren: Nicole Q. McGrady and husband Robby of Lexington and Jennifer Q. Foster and husband Brad of Jonesville; two great-grandchildren: Kirsten Foster and Gunner Foster both of Jonesville and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tucker was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Wages, and eight brothers: Harley Heatherly, George Heatherly, Paul Heatherly, Fred Heatherly, Abram Heatherly, Gwinn Heatherly, Robert Heatherly and Jim Heatherly. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 2, 2015 at West Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Henry Johnson and Rev. Gregg Black. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Adam Gault, Jesse Haney, Brad Foster, Robby McGrady, Louie Lawson, Bryan Heatherly, Matthew Taylor and Michael Gault. Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 PM Saturday in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to West Springs Baptist Church, 4811 Buffalo West Springs Hwy, Pauline, SC 29374. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Joan and Larry Quinn, 1437 Mudbridge RD., Buffalo.
