Mae Lee Williams

MAE LEE WILLIAMS UNION, SC Mrs. Mae Lee Williams, age 79, of 649 Browns Creek Rd., Union, widow of Jeffie D. Williams, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022, at her home.

Mrs. Williams was born June 21, 1943, in Union, a daughter of the late J.K. Lee and Ruth Matthews Lee. She was retired from Union County Schools.  Mrs. Williams was a faithful member of Morningside Baptist Church and was very active in all phases of the Church. Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Gault and N. Kaye Johnson and husband Randy, all of Union; a son, Nicholas Williams and wife Shanna of Union; a grandchild who was raised in the home, Kyle Hicks; three sisters, Linda Jones of Union, Shirley Lancaster of Union, and Nancy Lawson of North Carolina; three brothers, Joe Lee and wife Erna of Union, James "Bug" Lee and wife Tammy of Union, and Ernest Lee and wife Debra of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Wendy Calhoun and husband John, Christopher Hicks and wife Lisa, Nicholas Williams, Kaleigh Williams, Dillan Williams and wife Maddy, and Jameson Johnson and wife Priscilla; ten great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews whom she loved very much. She was predeceased by a sister, Alice Johnson and a brother, Harold Lee.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale.  Entombment will follow at Union Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Wednesday prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jamie Duncan, Ann Martin, and Agape Hospice for their love and care of Mrs. Williams. Memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 112 Bates Ave., Union, SC 29379.

The family is at her home, 649 Brown's Creek Rd., Union but will be at 349 Mount Vernon Rd., Union, starting Monday, December 12, 2022.
