Malcomb J. Vanderford, Jr.

Mr. Malcomb Jack "Mack" Vanderford, Jr., age 73, formerly of Hillcrest Dr., Union, passed away Tuesday, at Heartland/ProMedica Healthcare.

Mr. Vanderford was born in Union, April 3, 1950, a son of the late Malcomb J. Vanderford, Sr. and Bonnie Wilkie Vanderford. He was a graduate of Union High School and was a retired meat cutter having worked at KJ's Grocer and Community Cash. Mr. Vanderford was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Union Church of Christ Church.

Surviving are three sisters, Etta JoAnn "Jodi" Farmer of the home, Margie Thomason and husband Willie of Greensboro, NC, and Frannie Garcia and husband Frank of California and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Ruby Stevens, Betty Bates and Linda Spellman and by three brothers, Paul Vanderford, Robert Vanderford and Charles Vanderford.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, June3, 2023 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Robert Scott.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home, 208 Hillcrest Dr., Union.
