Mallie Lawson Smith

July 14, 2018 Mrs. Mallie Lawson Smith, age 93, widow of Claude D. Smith, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Smith was born in Union Co., November 10, 1924, a daughter of the late John and Mary Lawson. She was a homemaker and a member of West Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Sara Smith and husband Roger of Glenn Springs; three grandsons, Allen Smith and wife Lisa, Darren Smith and wife Gretchen and Mark Smith and wife Angie; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Haney and Lottie Lancaster. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 16, 2018 at West Springs Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Greg Black. Visitation will be held immediately following the graveside service. Memorials may be made to West Springs Baptist Church, 4811 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Pauline, SC 29374.
