Mrs. Mamie Louise Millwood Roberson, age 94, widow of Claude D. Roberson, Sr., formerly of Jonesville, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Mrs. Roberson was born in Jonesville, July 18, 1928, a daughter of the late Clarence Asbury "Bud" Millwood and Corrie Patterson Millwood. She was retired from J.P. Stevens, formerly employed with Conso Products and had worked at Jonesville High School. Mrs. Roberson was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church where she enjoyed being part of the Happy Hearts Club.
Surviving are two sons, Claude D. Roberson, Jr. of Jonesville and James William Roberson and wife Darlene of Pacolet; a daughter, Peggy Roberson Hancock of Jonesville; a sister, Betty Fowler and four brothers, Ernest Millwood, Hubert Millwood, Tommy Millwood and David Millwood. She is also survived by six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Mrs. Millwood was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Barbara Ann Tucker Roberson; a son-in-law, Thomas Hancock and three sisters, Pearl Wynn, Ella Mae Dills, and Bennie Sue Millwood.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 5, 2022 at Jonesville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Cannon and Rev. Randy Burgess. Burial will follow at Jonesville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel, 145 Hames Ave., Jonesville.
Active pallbearers will be David Buchanan, Johnny Vaughan, Jim Gregory, Tony Addis, Wayne Clayton, Greg Fowler and Jason Fowler.
Memorials may be made to the Jonesville Baptist Church Happy Heart Club or the Bereavement Committee, PO Box 279, Jonesville SC 29353.
The family will be at the home of her son, Claude D. Roberson, Jr., 850 Forest St., Jonesville.
