Margaret Carolyn Austin

Mrs. Margaret Carolyn Vinson Austin, age 82, of 134 Ben Black Rd., Union, widow of John Austin, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 2, 2023.

Mrs. Austin was born in Union, December 2, 1940, a daughter of the late Jim and Agatha Millwood Vinson. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Grace Management. Mrs. Austin was a member of Buffalo Methodist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are a daughter, Kelly Shetley and husband Earl of Union; two granddaughters, Allison Shetley and Aubree Shetley; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Shetley; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Henderson of Union and Lorene Vinson of Buffalo and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Austin was predeceased by a son, Marvin Babb, a special friend, Larry Vinson, and a brother, Jimmy "Fuzzy" Vinson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 5, 2023 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Dr, Shawn Head. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Kelly and Earl Shetley, 130 Ben Black Rd., Union.
