Margaret C. Hines

Mrs. Margaret Clark Hines, age 96, widow of Willard "Wishie" Hines, formerly of Bowling Ave., Union, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Windsor House in Spartanburg. Mrs. Hines was born in Union, March 27, 1921, a daughter of the late John Thomas Clark and Edna Spillers Clark. She was a homemaker and life-long member of Unity United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Adult Choir. Mrs. Hines was the last surviving member of seven children. Surviving are a granddaughter, Katie H. Soto and husband Jeremy of Spartanburg; a grandson, Matt Hines and wife Shannon of Lexington; and three great-grandchildren, Audrey, Issac, and Luke Soto. Mrs. Hines was predeceased by a son, Monty Hines. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 9:30 AM at Unity United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Carolina Salmons. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity United Methodist Church, 206 Hart St., Union, SC 29379.
