Margaret (Burns) Lankford

Mrs. Margaret Burns Lankford, age 92, widow of Donald R. Lankford, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Brookstone Terrace.

Mrs. Lankford was born in Union, South Carolina, a daughter of the late George and Ruby Estes Burns. She was a graduate of Cross Anchor High School and retired from Union Disabilities and Special needs. Mrs. Lankford  was a life long member of Padgett's Creek Baptist Church and a member of the Union County Senior Citizens.

Surviving are a son, Stacy Kyle Pearson (Chasity) of Union; and a sister, Brenda Smith of Union; grandchildren, Adelynn Anderson (Jace), Creigton Ferrell; nieces, Wendy McKeown (Niel) and Nicole Davis; a nephew, Clint Smith (Melissa).  She was predeceased by a son, Mark Pearson.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Carroll Caldwell and Rev. Bill Randall.  Burial will follow at Padgett's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to express a heart felt thank you, to the Brookstone Terrace and BST Family Hospice for their love and care of Mrs. Lankford.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the services in the chapel.
