Margaret Wilson Leonhardt

Mrs. Margaret Wilson Leonhardt, age 83, of 306 Hicks St., Union, widow of James Franklin “Frank” Leonhardt, passed away, Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Leonhardt was born January 23, 1943, in Union, a daughter of the late Lewis Caine Wilson and Belva Osborne Wilson. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church and attended Ottaray Baptist Church. Mrs. Leonhardt was a retired textile worker having worked for Union Mill, Milliken Co and Conso Products. She loved to read recipe books, watch cooking shows and to love on her grandchildren.

Surviving are daughters, Angela Michelle Kelley and her husband Thomas Boyd Austin and Ashley Leonhardt Sanders. She is also survived by grandchildren, Candice Woodsby, Joshua C West, Kayla Reid, and Kyle Reid; great grandchildren, Hailey A Sanders and her fiancé Red Winters, C J Sanders, Jaydus Woodsby, Tristan Davis, Madison Mohr, Jade Mohr, Taylen Moore, Peyton Moore, J C Henry, Grayce Reid, Victoria “Tori” Jones, Jeramiah Jones and great great grandchildren, Nova Assar and Serenity Edwards. She also leaves behind her partner and special friend, Melvin Boyd Stone, step-children, Angie Stevens and Patsy Stone Petrie , sister, Linda Wilson and brother, Doug Wilson. Mrs. Leonhardt was predeceased by a grand-daughter, Susan S Woodsby, a great great granddaughter, Eyrianna Winters, brothers, J B Wilson, Michael Wilson, Micky Wilson and Albert Wilson and a sister, Bernice Johnson.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 9,2026 at Ottaray Baptist Church,200 Lowe St., Union, conducted by Pastor Jack Anderson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the service.
