Margaret Sprouse Wade

February 8, 2019 Mrs. Margaret Sprouse Wade, age 89, widow of Charles Darrell Wade passed away, Friday, February 8, 2019, at her home after years of declining health. Mrs. Wade was born July 14, 1929, a daughter of the late John Thomas Sprouse and Alma Price Sprouse Wix. She was a member of Mon-Aetna Baptist Church where she taught children's Sunday School for over 50 years and was known as the "candy lady". Surviving are two sons, Ronnie Wade and wife Gena and Roger Wade and wife Sara all of Union; a daughter Patti Lawson and husband Jerry of Buffalo; a sister Judy Bobo; eight grandchildren: Khristy Wade, Chip Wade, Amanda Horne and husband Tony, Alison Coker and husband Cyle, Sammy White and wife Jill, Brandi Hurtado and husband Tony, Brad Lawson and wife Heather, and Jami Trammell and husband Dennis; sixteen great-grandchildren: Christina, Jessica, Larissa, Abi, Cade, Hannah Cali, Christopher, Brandon, Cheyanne, Brianna, Haley, Allie, Harlee, Ryan, Kaya, & Conley; a special caregiver and friend Vonda Morris; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson Eric Wade; two great-grandsons Brett Wade and Taylor Wade; a great granddaughter Hannah Hurtado; four brothers Robert Sprouse, Marvin Earl Sprouse, Donald Sprouse, and J. W. Sprouse; two sisters Dorothy Faulks and Barbara Bishop. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2019 at Mon Aetna Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Chris Gulledge, Rev. Benny Green, and Rev. Shawn Ingle. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Chip Wade, Tony Horne, Cyle Coker, Sammy White, Brad Lawson, Mark Wade, Robin Price, & Joe Wade. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. The Wade family would like to thank special caregivers Angie Hogan, Marionette Williams, Stephanie Means, Sharon Gregory & Jamie Eaddy.
