Margie Alice Edgar Whitaker

Mrs. Margie Alice Edgar Whitaker, age 101, of Frisco, TX, widow of Robert L. Whitaker, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Mrs. Whitaker was born in Union, August 2, 1921, a daughter of the late Oliver H. Edgar and Eileen Montgomery Edger. She was a 1939 graduate of Rome High School in Rome, GA. Mrs. Whitaker was a homemaker and a member of Summerville Baptist Church in Summerville, SC.

She is survived by a son, Robert E. Whitaker and wife Leslie of Prescott, AZ; a brother-in-law, Charles Whitaker of Union; two granddaughters, Leah Motl and husband Scott of Wylie, TX and Elizabeth Buckner of Kansas City, MO; great-grandchildren, Katarina and Benjamin Hill. Mrs. Whitaker was predeceased by a daughter, Lynda Buckner.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday October 24, 2022 at Union Memorial Gardens.
