Margie Scales Henderson

Mrs. Margie Scales Henderson, age 64, wife of Edward Henderson of 712 W. Main Street, Union, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Henderson was born in Union, SC July 9, 1949, a daughter of the late J.V. Scales and Nancy Evelyn Crowe Scales. She had an extensive career with Milliken & Co, having worked first at Monarch Mill and later at the Cedar Hill Plant. Surviving in addition to her husband of forty-eight years are four daughters: Kimberly Hagan and husband Phillip of Union, Sindy Henderson and fiancé' Scott Ellison of Gaffney, Amy Boulware and husband Tommy and Anna Fallaw all of Union; a son, Jonathan Henderson of the home; seven grandchildren; a brother, Jack Scales and wife Svetlana; several nieces and nephews and two special pets Bandit and Foxy. Mrs. Henderson was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Cohen. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, April 27, 2014 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Rick Cook. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Henderson's grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held 3:00-4:00 PM Sunday in the chapel prior to the service.
