Maria D. Karacheban

Mrs. Maria D. Karacheban, age 66, wife of Ivan Karacheban of Vanderford Rd., Union, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Mrs. Karacheban was born in Donia, Moldova, October 2, 1958 a daughter of the late Dimitry and Nadia Stauchan Darmanchev. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. Mrs. Karacheban was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Inna Polhovsky and husband Alex, and Amy Kinitner and husband Shawn all of Salem, OR; two sons, Vlad Karacheban and wife Anna of Lyman and Roman Karacheban and wife Anna of Salem, OR; four sisters, Valentina Sinigur and Dina Sangorov both of Springfield, MA, Tammy Darmanchev of Boston, MA and Tonia Radu of Salem, OR; and two brothers, Victor Darmanchev of Salem, OR and Fedor Darmanchev of Moldova. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Scott.

Burial will take place at Hilltop Cemetery in Independence, Oregon.
