Marie (West) Riley

Mrs. Marie West Riley, age 80, widow of Harold Eugene "Gene" Riley, passed away on September 8, 2025.

Mrs. Riley was born on December 14, 1944, in Union, South Carolina, the daughter of the late William Perrian West and Chrystal Hyatt West. She was a 1963 graduate of Union High School and was a member of Bogansville Methodist Church. Mrs. Riley was married to Mr. "Gene" for 60 years. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Riley is survived by daughters, Christina "Christy" R. Kitchens of Union and Susan R. Gregory and her husband, Walter of Myrtle Beach. She is also survived by grandchildren, Michael Kitchens (Kentrel), Clayton Gregory (Abigail), Nicholas Gregory (fiancé Rebekah Pereira), Patrick Gregory and Anna Beth Gregory along with several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Riley was predeceased by sisters, Cornelia Senn and Betty Jo Kunze and brothers, William D. West and Donald R. West.

To honor the wishes of Mrs. Riley, there will be no funeral services. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Bogansville Methodist Church, 4052 Buffalo West Springs Hwy, Jonesville, SC 29353.
