Mariko S. Browning

Mrs. Mariko Shiki Browning, age 79, widow of Wallace Richard Browning, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Rosewood Assisted Living in Pauline. Mrs. Browning was born in Nagasaki, Japan, August 7, 1936. She and Mr. Browning were married in Japan, May 28, 1958 and soon afterward made their home in the United States. Mrs. Browning was a devoted wife and homemaker. Surviving are a niece, Elaine W. Crocker and husband Danny, four nephews, Rickey Stamie, Woody Waldrop, Robert Waldrop and Danny Waldrop and several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 25, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Travis King. Burial will be at Whitmire Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home prior to the services. The family will be at their respective homes.
