Marion Shipman Millwood

Mrs. Marion Shipman Millwood, age 89, wife of Frank L. Millwood, of 105 Walker Heights, Union, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Millwood was born July 11, 1936, in Union, a daughter of the late Curtis Shipman and Ruby Harmon Shipman. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Union County Schools having been Secretary at Sims Junior High School for 28 years. Mrs. Millwood was a member of Greater Union Church where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher and the Church Organist and Pianist.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 72 years are a son, Michael Millwood and wife Susan of Union; two granddaughters, Kelly Scott and husband Clyde and Shanna Williams and husband Nick; and seven great-grandchildren, Kenny Blanton, Kullen Millwood, Rebekah Rogers, Rachel Rogers, Isabella Rogers, Nicholas Williams, and Kaleigh Williams. She was predeceased by a son, Darrin Millwood and a grandson, Brandon Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Greater Union Church conducted by Rev. Roger Estes. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Ken Palmer, Billy Green, Wayne Todd, Thomas Gibson, Phillip Cody, and Mitch Henderson.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the church.
