Mark Porter Childers

Mr. Mark Porter Childers, age 52, husband of Cindi Love Childers of 402 North 1st Street, Lockhart, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at his home. Mr. Childers was born in Union, SC May 18, 1961, a son of the late Harvey Lee Childers and Rebecca Jane Porter Childers. He was employed with Gestamp South Carolina and was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church. Mr. Childers was a very dedicated member of the Lockhart Fire Department. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Angie Cabaniss and husband Stevie of Lockhart and Mandy Price and husband Shelby of Chester; a son, Tyler Hudson of Rock Hill; a sister, Robin Bailey of the home; a brother, Randy Lee and wife Mary of Lockhart; five grandchildren: Mackenzie Cabaniss, Garrett Cabaniss, Jaxson Cabaniss, Allie Price and Avery Price; a niece, Alaina Inman of Lockhart; two nephews, Toby Dale Childers and wife Tammy and Dakota Palmer all of Lockhart. Mr. Childers was predeceased by a brother, Harvey Dale Childers. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Lockhart First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Delos Blanton. Active Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Lockhart Fire Department. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Monday evening at the church. Memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 190, Lockhart, SC 29364 or to the Lockhart Fire Department. The family is at the home of his daughter, Angie and Stevie Cabaniss, 110 South 6th Street, Lockhart.
