Mr. Mark Anthony Dowis, age 69, husband of Debra Rogers Dowis of 507 Riley Rd., Buffalo, passed away, Monday, September 14, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Dowis was born December 31, 1956, in Tucker, Georgia, a son of the late Paul Edward Dowis and Dorothy Frances McCoy Dowis. He was the retired owner and operator of Mark and Son’s Plumbing. Mr. Dowis loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, fishing, and old cars. He was a hardworking man who loved his family dearly.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Stephan Dowis and wife Shannon of Union and Nicholas Dowis and wife Lily of Lyman; eight grandchildren, Bryson Dowis, Brayden Dowis, Marissa Dowis, Landon Dowis, Jax Dowis, Deanna Dowis, Bryson Perry, and Charles Perry; one great-grandson, Nolan Perry; two sisters, Darlene Aaron and husband Ricky of Rutledge, GA and Brenda Collis of Douglasville, GA; two brothers, Ray Dowis and wife Bonnie of Aragon, GA and Wayne Dowis and wife Mary of High Falls, GA. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gordon, Terry, and Ken Dowis.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life Gathering at their home, 507 Riley Rd., Buffalo, on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
