Mark B. Shope

Mr. Mark Benson Shope, age 56, of 2566 West Springs Hwy., Jonesville, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Union Medical Center. Mr. Shope was born in Union, March 23, 1960, a son of the late Russell and Ruth Reynolds Shope. He was employed with Standard Textiles in Union. Surviving are a brother, Joel Shope, Sr. and wife Mary Joe of Buffalo and two nephews, Joel Shope Jr. and wife Shannon of Whiteville, NC and Jason Shope and wife Stacey of Rock Hill. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM Monday, September 12, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Walter Holcombe. The family will receive friends at the chapel immediately following the services. Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association, 156 Milestone Way, Suite A, Greenville, SC 29615 or to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Dr., Columbia, SC 29204. The family will be at the home of his brother, Joel and Mary Joe Shope, 2041 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Buffalo, SC.
