Mrs. Martha Ann Clontz Gibson, age 82 formerly of Buffalo, widow of John Henry Gibson passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home. Mrs. Gibson was born in Matthews, NC on November 18, 1933 a daughter of the late Fred L. Clontz and Winnie Bolick Clontz. She was retired from Conso Products and was a member of the Lamb of God Lutheran Church of Spartanburg. Mrs. Gibson was a volunteer with Wallace Thomson Hospital and with various hospice groups. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a daughter, Ann Cody and husband David of Union; three sons, Henry Gibson of Inman, Robert Gibson of Cummings, GA, and Les Gibson and wife Shelby of Union; five grandchildren Winnie Elizabeth Cody, Priscilla Morton, Mandy Gibson, Kevin Gibson, and Amber Gibson and fiancée Danchize Wilson; one great-grandchild, MaKayla Morton; and one sister-in-law, Betty Clontz. Mrs. Gibson was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Augsburg Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Carl A Voges. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
