Martha Williams Irvin

Mrs. Martha Williams Irvin, age 81, of 1817 Jonesville Hwy., Union, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Center. Mrs. Irvin was born February 1, 1939 in Gaffney, a daughter of Adolphus M. Williams and Emma Alverson Williams. She was a graduate of Union High School. Mrs. Irvin began work at the Alex Fant Oil Company which later became Meadow Oil Company and retired from Willard Oil Company. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister, Eva Williams Smith of Union; three brothers, Dalton Williams and wife Alice, John C. Williams and wife Donna all of Union, and Joe A. Williams and wife Dyane of Spartanburg; a sister-in-law, Inez Williams of Union; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Marion A. Williams and Thomas N. Williams. Due to the current health crisis a graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Bill Randall. Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 1414 Neal Shoals Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family is at their respective homes.
