Martha L. Jolly

Mrs. Martha Lawson Jolly, age 77, wife of William A. Jolly of 204 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Jolly was born in Union, November 23, 1946, a daughter of the late Perrin and Elizabeth Sprouse Lawson. She was a 1965 graduate of Union High School and a graduate of Cecil's Business College. She retired after 35 years with the SC Dept. of Transportation. She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church where she was a member of the Meal Team and went on numerous mission trips with the J.Crew Team Mrs. Jolly was also a member of Post 22 Women's Auxiliary.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 58 years, William, are a daughter, Laura Jolly of Little River, SC; three grandsons, Coleman Ferrel and wife Ashley of Union, David Horlacher of Abilene, TX and Will Horlacher and fiancée Emily Harvey of Union. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Wanda Wells and husband Howard of Santuc and Beverly Funderburk of Union; a niece, Brandy Drinkard and husband Mike of Lexington, and two special friends, Eugenia "Ginger" McKnight and Melanie Lawson.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Scott. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Coleman Ferrel, Will Horlacher, David Horlacher, Ethan Bailey, Sean Brown and Caleb Henderson.
