Martha Greer Rogers

Mrs. Martha Ann Greer Rogers, age 71, of Police Club Rd., Union, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a brief illness.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Union, March 5, 1950, a daughter of the late Charles Greer and Catherine Holcombe Greer Compton. She was a 1968 graduate of Union High School, attended Columbia College and received a bachelor's degree from Converse College. She was retired from Spectra Colorants and had previously worked at Torrington Co. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Lower Fairforest Baptist Church and had served at Fairview Baptist Church as secretary and organist for over 20 years.

Surviving are a son, Alan Rogers, and wife Lindsay of Union; two grandson, Deacon and Calder Rogers; and two brothers, Mike Greer of Union and Larry Greer and wife Cindy of Greer. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Brad Greer and wife Harmony, Savannah Greer, Wyatt Greer, Cristen Sweet and husband Chris and Justin Greer and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Lower Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jim Cunningham and Rev. Jeff Dean. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Brad Greer, Justin Greer, Stewart Prince, Evan Johnson, Brad Robertson, and Bryan Gaines.
