Mr. Henry Martin Heatherly age 84 of Mudbridge Rd., Buffalo, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at his home.

Mr. Heatherly was born in Union, September 2, 1941, a son of the late Harley and Geneva Heatherly. He attended Parham and West Springs Schools and was retired from Heatherly Auto. For most of his life he was involved in drag racing and in 2019 was inducted into the “Wall of Fame” at Spartanburg Dragway. He also enjoyed fishing and tending to his cows. Mr. Heatherly was a member of West Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Kaye Lea Heatherly; a son, David Heatherly and wife Lisa all of Buffalo; a sister, Mary H. Moore of Pauline and a brother, Ed Heatherly and wife Carol of Buffalo; three grandchildren, Mitch Heatherly and wife Mandy, Tyler Heatherly and wife Lacey and Jessie Heatherly, five great grandchildren, Cameron Heatherly and wife Kathleen, Braly Heatherly, Bradley Heatherly, Allison Ivey and Noah Ivey and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kim H. Howell; sisters, Myrtle Roberson, Thelma Heatherly and Ruby Fowler and brothers, Jerry, Jimmy, Dewey and Ray Heatherly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 5, 2026 at West Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mike Royal. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 until 1:00 PM Saturday at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Mitch Heatherly, Tyler Heatherly, Cameron Heatherly, Timmy Caldwell, Craig McMillan, Scotty Sherfield, and Johnny Sherfield.

The family will be at the home of his son, David and Lisa Heatherly, 1383 Mudbridge Rd., Buffalo.
