Marvin R. "Buddy" Alman

Mr. Marvin Richard "Buddy" Alman, age 82, husband of Frances Garner Alman of 1179 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Alman was born in Union Co., March 26, 1940, a son of the late Willie Lee "Bull" Alman and Norma Farr Alman. He was retired from Torrington Co. and was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church where he was a member of the Roy Little Sunday School Class. Mr. Alman was well known in the Pea Ridge community for his delicious bar-b-que, hash, and chicken stew.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Frances are two sons, Richard Alman and friend Tammy Vaughan, and James Alman and wife Shonda all of Union; a sister, Laura "Noots" Moss of Union; a brother, John Earl Alman and wife Evelyn of Union; three grandchildren, Casey Alman of the home, Charleen Alman and Willie Alman both of Union.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, April 8, 2022, at Mt. Joy Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 3:00 Friday at the church prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Ted Adams, Charles Adams, Jamison Moss, Curtis Plexico, Brian Garner, Robert Palmer, Mike Howell, and Donnie Horne.

Member of the Roy Little Sunday School Class are asked to sit in a group.
