Mary Ann Murphy

Mrs. Mary Ann Medford Murphy, age 74, wife of Robert Paul Murphy of 3657 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Buffalo, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 at her home.

Mrs. Murphy was born in Clyde, NC, August 27, 1951, a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Seay Medford. She retired from Sam’s Wholesale Club having worked in customer service. Mrs. Murphy was a member of Putman Baptist Church and attended Christian Fellowship Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Martha Louise Lee of Buffalo; a step-son, Stacy Lynn Browning; a sister, Judy Scott and husband Kenny and a brother, Billy Medford and wife Barbara all of Union. She is also survived by three grandchildren, James Lee, Seth Browning and Jessica Browning. She was predeceased by a daughter, Wendy Lee Murphy; a step-son, Robert Paul Murphy, II; two sisters, Joyce Gregory and Bonita Turner, three brothers, Brian, Wid, and Darryll Medford and a sister-in-law, Diane Kirby.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Robert Scott. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the services.

The family will be at the home, 3657 Buffalo-West Springs Hwy., Buffalo.
