Mary Ellen (Bennett) Weltman

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral or calling hours for Mary Ellen (Bennett) Weltman, age 84, of Frazeysburg, Ohio. She died on January 12, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).

Mary was born on January 22, 1940 in Newark, Ohio to the late Max E. and Sadie Mary (Burge) Bennett.

Mary was a retired Homemaker who enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a charter and life member of the Heath Eagles 3723 of Heath, Ohio. Her hobbies were camping, tole painting and flowers.

She is survived by her husband George Weltman, of 65 years; children, Sondra Dee Edie, George Lanson (Irene) Weltman, Shirleen Faye Collins (Bruce), Johnna Jean Dye, and Todd Elton (Beth) Weltman; eight grandchildren, Shawna Faye (Matt Douglas), Geoffrey Dean Edie, Mary Ellen Jean Murray (Charlie), Brian Jacob Collins (Ashley), Brittany Nicole (Ross Kennedy), Todd Anthony Dye, Wesley Lee Moss (Gina) and Dustin Tyler Weltman; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Connor Roy Dean Douglas, Cora Faye Douglas, Joslyn Alexander, Jasmine Marie, Adikis Boone Collins, Kathleen Faye Collins, Madilyn Michelle Dye, Riley Dye, Tucker Austin Dye, Emma Dye, Aubrey Katherine Moss, Luke Harrison Moss, Bentley Nolan Weltman and Amzie Jade Weltman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Jane, Maxine, Esther Mae, Garnet Faye; brother, Harry; and grandson, Christopher Michael Dye and great-grandson, Connor Dye.
