Mary L. Burnett Edwards

May 14, 2019 Mrs. Mary Louise Burnett Edwards, age 82, widow of Joseph C. Edwards of Union, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Edwards was born in Union, May 16, 1937, a daughter of the late Will and Eva Willard Burnett. She retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was a member of the Union Church of God. Surviving are a son, Bobby Jackson and wife Barbara of Lockhart; a sister, Bernice Roberts of Union, several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Edwards was predeceased by a daughter, Lynn Jackson; three sisters, Lula Bishop, Flora Hatchet and Lucille Duckett and a brother, Tommy Burnett. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Union Church of God conducted by Rev. Stewart Anderson and Rev. Alton Stone. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joey Harris, Will Burnett, Jim Seaman, Ronnie Duckett, Anthony Duckett, Steve Bishop, Terry Roberts and Wilton Mann. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
