January 6, 2016 Mrs. Mary Robinson Erwin, age 90, of 396 Riley Road, Buffalo, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mrs. Erwin was born in Union, SC on March 12, 1925 a daughter of the late G.H.L Robinson and Maggie Bell Davis Robinson. She was a graduate of Union High School and was retired from Union Mill. Mrs. Erwin was a faithful member of Buffalo Baptist Church where she was a former Primary Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years and was active in the WMU of the church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a son, W.C. Erwin and wife Sadie of Whitmire; a granddaughter, Amy Varner and husband Paul of Inman; a grandson, Randy Erwin of Whitmire; three great-grandchildren, Emma Varner, Coleman Varner, and Andrew Erwin and wife Samantha; two great-great-grandchildren, Peyton Erwin and Phillip Erwin; three nieces, Jean Lavender, Helen Bishop and Donna Kay Webber; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Brenda Erwin and Linda Erwin. A celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 8, 2016 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Lynn Ford. Burial will follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Gaffney. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
