Mary Florence ‘Flo’ Hines

October 24, 2019 Mrs. Mary Florence "Flo" Parks Hines, age 81, wife of Don H. Hines of 216 Hyder Rd., Union, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Hines was born in Union, June 2, 1938, a daughter of the late John Thomas Parks and Phoebe Sprouse Parks. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and Spartanburg Junior College. Mrs. Hines retired from Wachovia Bank and had also worked for the Union County Schools. She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church where she taught Children's Sunday School and was a choir member and member of the WMU. Surviving are a daughter Donise Hines Eubanks of Jonesville; two sons, Scottie Hines of Union and Alan Hines of Lockhart; a sister, Phoebe Ann Crocker and husband Doyle of Union; a brother, Keith Parks and wife Carol of Jonesville; a granddaughter, Morgan Sanders and husband Gage; a grandson, Jordan Crumpton and girlfriend Brianna League; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Addison. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jan Hines. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2019 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Scott and Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Trenton Crocker, John Parks, Dennis Cooper, Travis Crocker, Dayne Jackson and Gage Sanders. Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 3:00 Friday at the church prior to the services. The family would like express their gratitude to Ann Martin, Charlene Gibson, and Hospice Care of South Carolina-Union for their compassionate care of "Flo."
