Mary Jo (Hause) Yacko

Mrs. Mary Jo Hause Yacko age 85, of 342 Pineneedle Rd., Union, widow of Thomas M. Yacko, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Yacko was born in Union, December 29, 1935, a daughter of the late Henry O. Hause, Sr. and Jewel Gordon Hause. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend. Mrs. Yacko was a graduate of Union High School and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.  She served in the United States Airforce in 1952 during the Korean Conflict and retired from the South Carolina National Guard. Mrs. Yacko also retired from the Tyger River Correctional Institute.

Surviving are two daughters, Tamara A. West and husband, Rick of Gaffney and Jodi Bagwell and special friend, Billy Gault of Union; grandchildren, Rachael Bonacker and husband, Dan of Youngstown, Ohio, Joshua Bagwell and wife, Jennifer of Conway, Nikki Free of Boiling Springs and Tonya Pettit of Florida; and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Yacko was predeceased by a daughter, Kym Palombaro, a sister, Betty DePratter, a brother, H.O. Hause and a great-grandchild, Chase Bagwell.

Graveside Services with military honors will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Chaplin Dean Cortese.

Visitation will immediately follow the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, Attn: SC Gift Processing, 4600 Park Rd., Ste 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.

The family would like to express a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Agape Hospice House for their care and compassion.
