Mary H. Ivey Union, Sc

Mrs. Mary H. Ivey, age 78, of 1607 Jonesville Highway, Union, widow of Haskell Ivey, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Ivey was born in Union, SC on November 26, 1936 a daughter of the late Dewey Harris and Alice Fowler Harris. She was a 1954 graduate of Union High School. Mrs. Ivey was a homemaker and seamstress and was a loving mother and "Nana" to many. She was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church and attended New Life Baptist Church and was a proud member of the Union Clemson Club. Surviving are three daughters, Debbie Trammell and husband Steve of Union, Cindy Ivey of the home, and Kim McNeace of Union; three grandchildren, Brooke Sherbert and husband Dan, Dylan McNeace, and Marissa McNeace; and two great-grandchildren, Laine Ivey Sherbert and Brent Sherbert. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2014 at New Life Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Shannon Faulkner, Rev. Robert Chapman, and Mr. Michael Brown. Burial will follow at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dylan McNeace, Dan Sherbert, Eddie Lawson, Mike Bension, Clay Palmer, and Rick Drain. The following are asked to form the honorary escort, Mae Pucket, Bob and Esther DeHart, Charles and Shirley Sanders, Julian and Lillie Garner, Pearl Crocker, Terry and Deloris English, Deannie Rector, Kent Smith, Debbie Inman, and Danny and Terri Malone. Visitation will be held 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the services at New Life Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church Building Fund, 502 Meansville Road, Union, SC 29379.
