Mary (Maxine) Sherbert

Mrs. Mary (Maxine) Sherbert, 87, widow of William E. Sherbert went to be with Jesus on November 21, 2019 at her home 105 Louise Street, Union. Mrs. Sherbert was born in Canton, NC on May 18,1932. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Connie Hall Moore of Union. She was a homemaker for many years. Surviving are a daughter Kathy Varner and husband Tim of the home and a special "adopted" daughter Cheryl Wilkins of Union. Mrs. Sherbert was predeceased by two daughters Audrey Sherbert and Susan Hamby both of Union. She was the last surviving member of her family. Private graveside services will be conducted by Rev. Miriam Mick. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Laurens County for their care and compassion over the past few months. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mary Sherbert Fund, P.O.
