Mary Jo Mccutcheon Young

Mrs. Mary Jo McCutcheon Young, age 86, wife of Roy S. Young, of 3119 Whitmire Hwy., Union, passed away, Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Young was born September 18, 1934 in Union, a daughter of the late A.B. McCutcheon and Emma Willard McCutcheon.  She retired after 20 plus years from Duncan Acres United Methodist Church Day Care and had formerly worked at Excel Hosiery.  Mrs. Young was a member of Unity United Methodist Church.  She was a very, very dotting wife, mother, and grandmother.  Mrs. Young was the last survivor of nine children.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Donna Oakman of Pacolet and Susan Phillips of Union; six grandchildren, Chip Belue (Heather) of Florida, Nick Belue of Union, Randee Shelby (Flash) of Elgin, Marc Phillips (Casey) of Spartanburg, Jared Matthew Phillips of Greenville, and Kate Horton (Greg) of Campobello; nine great-grandchildren, Bryan Belue, C.J. Keisler, KayB Shelby, Chase Walker Shelby, Rylan Phillips, Keeley Horton, Dakota Horton, Bo Tesner, and Ricky Tesner; and one great-great-grandchild, Ember Tesner.  She was predeceased by her son, Sid Young.
