Mary F. Price

Mary Francis Price, age 68, of 393 Vaughan Rd., Union, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Mary was the fiancée of Paul "Cook" Vaughn for the past 22 years.

Born in Union, April 21, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Fletcher Luttrell Price and Sarah Elizabeth "Bessie" Sinclair Price. Mary was a graduate of Union High School and a retired CNA after 40 years. She worked at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home and later at a nursing home in Billings, MT. After moving back to Union, she became a private sitter in the Union and Spartanburg area. Later, she and Cook opened Mary's Music Hall in Union. She loved being at the music hall with everyone who came out to enjoy plenty of country music.

Mary's favorite thing to do was to cook. She really did enjoy feeding people and she loved to bake cakes. Everyone loved her Apple cake and people asked her to make it all the time.

Surviving in addition to her "husband", Cook, is a son, Jeff Price of Union; a sister, Carolyn Patrick and husband Chris of Union; a grandson, Dominic Price of Mankato, MN; three step daughters, Roxanne Baker, Kelley Price and Cricket Rutledge; a step son, Paul Bradley Vaughn and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Fletcher Grace Tuck of Boiling Springs. She was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Dale Price; a grandson, Coby Allan Price; a sister, Eva Mae Fowler Ray and a brother, Henry Dean Price.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to the staff, nurses and doctors of Gibbs Cancer Center and Spartanburg Regional Hospice for their care of Mary during her illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Mary's Music Hall in Nixon Center, conducted by Rev. Glenn Ribelin and Rev. Lee Coyle. Burial will be at Brown's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday at the music hall prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Rocky Lee, Stephen Tuck, Pat Patrick, Jamiey Shiver, Randell Tindall and Don Spencer.

The family will be at the home, 393 Vaughan Rd., Union and at the home of her sister, Carolyn and Chris Patrick, 204 Wilson St., Union.
