Mary Still Richards

December 28, 2019 Mrs. Mary Still Richards, age 66, wife of Fred Richards of 101 Sunnydale Circle, Spartanburg, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Richards was born in Spartanburg, December 6, 1953, a daughter of the late Mary Jo Littlejohn Boatwright and Levon Ponder. She retired from the Salvation Army as a manager and was a member of Manna Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Melissa Still and Tonya Still Brewington; a son, Johnny Still; two sisters, Vickie Horton and Kelly Davis; three brothers, Bobby Ponder, Mark Ponder and Ricky Dean Ponder all of Spartanburg. Mrs. Richards is also survived by four grandchildren, Mark Brewington, Jr., Cullen Still, Micah Cantrell and Hayden Brewington and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Jonah Cantrell and two brothers, Barry and Terry Ponder. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Manna Baptist Church, 121 Flatwood Lane, Spartanburg SC, 29307, conducted by Rev. David Mattox, Rev. Danny Cannon and Rev. Johnny Horton. Burial will be at Heritage Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Micah Cantrell, Cullen Still, Mark Brewington, Jr., Scott Ponder, Johnny Horton and Daniel Horton. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday at the church prior to the services. The family will be at their respective homes.
