Mary Alice Sanders Wade

Mrs. Mary Alice Sanders Wade, age 85 of 101 Catawba St., Union, widow of Jackie Terrell Wade, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Wade was born in Kelton, September 3, 1937, a daughter of the late Robert Wylie Sanders and Ruby Lee Garner Sanders. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and retired from Her Majesty in Union. Mrs. Wade attended Mt. Joy Baptist Church prior to her marriage and always considered it her home church. She enjoyed sewing, quilt making, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Wade Smith and husband Calvin; a son, David Terrell Wade; a granddaughter, Cathryn Elizabeth Smith all of Union; a brother, Wayne Sanders of Jonesville; a special cousin, Cathy Nelson Orr of Jonesville and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Betty McFadden, a brother, Bobby Sanders and an infant sister and brother.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to Linda Smith, Roger Wade, Joe Wade, Jennifer Kimbrell and the staff and nurses of CenterWell Home Health, Heartland Rehabilitation and Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their care and compassion shown the Mrs. Wade and her family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Dr. Steve Lemons. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
