Mary Jo Sherbert

Mrs. Mary Jo James Sherbert, age 78, wife of Jimmy Carlise Sherbert of Union, SC passed away peacefully Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Born November 5, 1945, she was the daughter of Harold Theron James and Mary Grace Senn James Poole.  She was a graduate of Union High School and Winthrop University.  Mrs. Sherbert was a retired teacher and taught for 30 years in Union County Schools

Mrs. Sherbert was a member of First Baptist Church Union.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Betsy Hudson and husband Gator; a son, Scott Sherbert and wife Jessica all of Union; Grandchildren, Kyle Hudson and Jay, Mia, Ben, and Sam Sherbert all of Union; A brother, Harold Senn James and wife Cecilia and sister, Kay James Kallman all of Greer; a brother in law, Tommy Sherbert and wife Janet; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 19th in the First Baptist Church Union Chapel conducted by Rev. Robbie Stollger.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
