Mary Frances Slack Knox

Mrs. Mary Frances Slack Knox, age 74, husband of James Albert "Pete" Knox, of 119 North 3rd St., Lockhart, passed away, Monday, November 8, 2021, at her home.

Mrs. Knox was born September 9, 1947, in Chester, a daughter of the late Henry T. Slack, II and Ruby Knighton Slack.  She delivered newspapers for the Spartanburg Herald Journal.  Mrs. Knox was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Teresa E. Littlejohn and husband Bruce of Union; two sons, Randy Knox and wife Suzanne of Simpsonville and James Allen Knox of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Tracy Gregory, Michael Littlejohn and wife Amber, and Michael Knox; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Richardson, Christan Gregory, Marissa Littlejohn, Aria Littlejohn, and Michael Littlejohn, Jr.; and one great-great-granddaughter, Sophie Gregory.  She was predeceased by a sister, Margie Miller and a brother, Tommy Slack.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Jeff Dean and Rev. Walter Holcombe.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home, 119 North 3rd Street, Lockhart, SC 29364.
