Mary C. Smith

Mrs. Mary Crosby Smith, age 76, of 123 Wilkerson Rd., Whitmire, widow of James Kennedy "Jim" Smith, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia. Mrs. Smith was born in Union Co., August 8, 1940 a daughter of the late Arlon Wilson "Bill" Crosby and Clarice Brock Crosby. She was a graduate of Whitmire High School and a member of Bethesda Baptists Church. Surviving are a daughter, Tracy S. Pugh and husband Timothy; three sons, Lonnie Riffey and wife Paula, Johnny Riffey and wife Peggy all of Whitmire and Todd Smith of the home; seven grandchildren, John Riffey and wife Lacey, Shelby Riffey, Trey Martin, Kaitlyn Holbert and husband Chad, Heather Varner and spouse Sarah, Justin Pugh and T. J. Pugh; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua Riffey. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900 Arlington, VA 22202. The family will be at the home, 123 Wilkerson Rd., Whitmire.
