Mary West Vinson

October 24, 2016 Mrs. Mary West Vinson, age 79, wife of Charles Ray "Charlie" Vinson, Sr., of 4658 Buffalo-West Springs Highway, Pauline, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Pelham Medical Center. Mrs. Vinson was born in Union, SC on May 15, 1937 a daughter of the late Luther West and Lillian Alexander West. She was a 1955 graduate of Union High School and retired from Milliken & Co-Gillispie Plant. Mrs. Vinson was a member of Bogansville United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Freida Fuller Sunday School Class. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Ray Vinson and wife Connie of Pauline and Eddie Vinson and wife Lori of Lyman; one brother, Ralph West of Union; one grandson, Hayden Arledge of Lyman; a special great-nephew, Wyatt Yarborough of Union; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Clifford West and J.D. West. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Bogansville United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Don Alexander and Mrs. Patricia Stephens. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Chris Becknell, Earl Evans, Mike Lawson, Paul Harvey, Eddie Mims, and Tim Watson. Members of the Freida Fuller Sunday School class are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort. Visitation will be held 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the church.
