Mrs. Mattie Sue Hyatt Kingsmore, age 93, of 960 Main St., Buffalo, widow of Archie Herrel Kingsmore, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Kingsmore was born in Union Co., April 3, 1921, a daughter of the late Jesse and Lizzie Lamb Hyatt. She was a graduate of West Springs High School and the Arthur School of Cosmetology. Mrs. Kingsmore worked for Buffalo Mill prior to becoming a cosmetologist and operating her own beauty shop. She had a passion for her family, friends, flowers and food and received numerous awards for her canned goods, baked goods and flowers. An avid member of Buffalo Baptist Church, Mrs. Kingsmore also loved gospel music. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Kingsmore and a son, Dan Kingsmore and wife Brenda all of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Louie Hyatt of the Putman community; four grandsons, Van Kingsmore, Alan Kingsmore, Ed Kingsmore and Kip Kingsmore; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Lynn Ford. Burial will be at Bogansville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Stanley Wells, Douglas Johnson, Randal Linear, Bobby Hyatt, Bruce Betenbaugh and Mark Haney. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday at the church prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Baptist Church, P.O.
