February 12, 2017 Mrs. Maxine Evans Waddle, age 81, widow of Lonnie Waddle, formerly of Jonesville, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Center. Mrs. Waddle was born in Buncombe County, NC November 27, 1935, a daughter of the late Grady S Evans and Sarah Earley Evans. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and a member of Jonesville Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters: Bunny Robinson and husband Mike of Jonesville and Anna Barfield and special friend Johnny Motts of Pacolet; two sons: Jody Wayne Waddle of Union and Ben T. Waddle and fiancé Lisa Horton of Spartanburg; a brother, Henry Evans and wife Jean of Jonesville; two sisters-in-law: Ina Evans of Jonesville and Brenda Evans of Gaffney; three grandchildren: Brook Waddle and mother Sandra of Landrum, Kelsey Barfield and fiancée Michael Ingle of Jonesville and BriAnna Barfield Turner and husband Ross of Pacolet; two step-grandsons: Cam Robinson and wife Nancy of Jonesville and Clint Robinson and wife Amanda of Boiling Springs; five great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Waddle was predeceased by four sisters: Coleen Bradley and husband Robert, Mattie Taylor and husband Lane, Jean Foster and husband Leonard and Georgia Aycock and husband Heyward and four brothers: David Evans, Hubert Evans and wife Lois, Bill Evans and wife Jeannette and Junior Evans. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, February 13, 2017 at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Dr. Eddie Saxon. Burial will be in Jonesville Memorial Gardens. Employee's and staff of Ellen Sagar Nursing Center and Medi Home Hospice are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held 1:30-3:00 PM Monday in the chapel prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 38, Jonesville, SC 29353. The family is at the home of her daughter, Bunny and Mike Robinson, 282 Farrow Rd., Jonesville.
