Mrs. Melinda Anne Fleming Trantham, age 66, wife of Billy Trantham of 217 Walnut St., Union, passed away May 24, 2015 at her home Mrs. Trantham was born in Union, July 13, 1948, a daughter of the late James and Elsie Kirby Fleming. She was a 1967 graduate of Union High School and retired from Milliken Co., Cedar Hill Plant. Mrs. Trantham started working with Kerhulas News Stand and then at Duncan Theater. Later she worked textiles at Ace Sweater, Conso Products, and United Merchants, Union Plant. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sisters, Janet Marie Blackmon of Nashville, TN, and Rhonda Jean Calitri and husband Tony of Saluda, NC; three brothers, Gary Wayne "Skip" Fleming and wife Faye of Chesnee, John David Fleming and wife Elizabeth of Spartanburg, and Paul Eugene "Charlie" Fleming and wife Teresa also of Chesnee; a special friend and caregiver, April Erwin of Union; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Trantham was predeceased by a brother, James Robert "Bobby" Fleming. Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Wayne Cooke. Active pallbearers will be Paul Barber, Drew Manibusan, Zack Manibusan, Jeff Trantham, Caleb Trantham, and Kyle Trantham. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Anne F. Trantham Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home 217 Walnut St., Union.
