Melvin D. Revis

August 20, 2016 Mr. Melvin Dennis Revis, age 83, husband of Barbara Stalnaker Revis of 203 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Union, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Revis was born in Lockhart, April 23, 1933, a son of the late Luther and Lucille Johnson Revis. He was retired from Torrington Co., Tyger River Plant and was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church. Mr. Revis was also a member of the Lockhart Masonic Lodge #224. Surviving in addition to his wife of 64 years, are three daughters, Denise Sanders and husband Keith, Debbie Rash, and Donna Revis; two sons, Dennis Revis and Donald Revis and wife Tonya; a daughter-in-law, Cathy V. Revis; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Revis was predeceased by two brothers, Dewey and Clarence Revis. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 22, 2016 at Lockhart Cemetery conducted by Rev. Delos Blanton. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the services. Memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 190, Lockhart, SC 29364. The family will be at the home 203 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Union.
