Mrs. Merle Gault Harvey

May 4, 2015 Mrs. Merle Gault Harvey, age 89, of 203 Davis Street Union, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Mrs. Harvey was born in Union, SC on April 23, 1926 a daughter of the late George Hoyle Gault and Hattie Estelle Gault Gault. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was retired from Milliken & Co. Mrs. Harvey was a member of Ottary Baptist Church where she was involved in various activities of the church as long as her health permitted. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a daughter, Alice Harvey Graham and husband Johnnie of Leesville; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harvey was predeceased by a son, David Earl Harvey; a grandson, Larry Harvey; five sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Sandra King. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 2:45 prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be at their respective homes.
