Micah Daniel Knox

Mr. Micah Daniel Knox, age 29, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026.

Micah was born October 30, 1996, at Ft. Knox, KY, son of Robert Earl Knox and Dana Lafontaine Knox. After high school graduation, Micah attended college and worked in the Recovery Community as a listener, counselor and friend. Micah touched lives all over the country. As a military child, he met people in many different places and will always be remembered as an uplifter and encourager. Micah loved to work out and his favorite place to be was at the gym . He was professing Christian and truly believed in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Surviving in addition to his parents, Robert and Dana, and a brother, Noah Knox, all of Indian Land, an uncle, Billy Knox and his wife, Aunt Julie, of Union, and aunt, Donna Keifer and her husband, uncle Jim of Evans, GA and his maternal grandfather, Robert (Bob) Lafontaine and his wife, Joan Cobb, of Ft. Monroe, VA. He also leaves behind special friends, Uncle Wayne and Aunt Jenn Farris, Jake Still, Michael “Jugg” Duncan and numerous cousins and friends all over the country. Micah was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, “Mama” Connie Knox, and Franklin “Yankee” Knox, his maternal grandmother, Jannette Lafontaine, an aunt and uncle, Debra and Randy Mitchell and cousins, Cathy Knox and Chasity Knox.

A memorial service is planned for Sunday, July 5, 2026 at 3:30 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, 310 W South St., Union, SC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM prior to the service in the Chapel. The funeral service will be livestreamed on the Holcombe Funeral Home Facebook page for those that are unable to attend.

The family will receive friends after the service at the home of his uncle, Billy Knox, 110 Hidden Hill Road, Union, SC 29379.
