Michael Boyd Ivey

Mr. Michael "Boyd" Ivey, age 52, of 262 Vernon foster Rd., Union, passed away, Friday, February 28, 2014 at his home. Mr. Ivey was born September 12, 1961 in Union, SC., a son of the late Garris Lamar Ivey, Sr. and Sylvia "Gail" Howell Ivey. He was a graduate of Union High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Ivey had worked as a correction officer with DJJ and a member of the Church of God. Surviving are two daughters: Brittany Darby and Eddie of Chester and Meghan Ivey and Travis Honeycutt of Rockhill; a brother: Garris "Lamar" Ivey, Jr. of Union; Grandchildren: Brae' Leigh, Kae' Leigh, Madison, Zoey and Landon. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 3, 2014 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Tommy Brown. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. The family is at their respective homes.
