Michael Anthony Knighten

Mr. Michael Anthony Knighten, age 61, husband of Angela Price Knighten of 245 Deepwater Rd., Union, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the Spartanburg Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mr. Knighten was born in Cowpens, January 27, 1961, a son of the late Harold and Elenora Mabry Knighten. He graduated high school while living in Smyrna, GA and formerly worked as a millwright and an automobile mechanic. Mr. Knighten was a member of New Beginnings Church in Pacolet and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are five daughters, Racheal Muccio and fiancé William Ellis of Bladenboro, NC, Michelle Madden and husband Steven of Dothan, AL, Ashley Hardee and husband Joshua of New Bern, NC, Jessica P. Knighten of Georgia and Casey Kerr and fiancé, Eric Barnett of Union; a son, Travis Knighten and wife Jessica of Eufaula, AL; a sister, Brenda Brown and a brother, Kenny Knighten both of Georgia. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Mason, Savannah, Nathaniel, Alexis, Jackson, Jessa, Asher and Lilly. He was predeceased by two sisters, Carol and Cathy.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at New Beginnings Church in Pacolet conducted by Rev. Lisa Parfitt.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Saturday at the church prior to the services.

The family will be at the home, 245 Deepwater Rd., Union.
